Protecting family wealth

Everything that doesn't add up, subtracts. Everything that is volatile threatens your wealth.

We live in exponential, accelerated, overwhelming times. The world needs solidity and tranquillity. Traditional safe havens — fixed deposits, the stock market, gold — no longer work due to endemic inflation and casino-style speculation.

I write this letter after gold fell 20% in three days, the largest correction in more than a decade. Bitcoin has crashed to half its price in just five months, and some of the largest tech companies have plunged more than 10% in barely 24 hours. The media, always feeding fears, say SaaS is dead. It isn't. AI will reinforce it, but savers need new safe havens.

Why? Because you might need your money before the market regains its senses. Value refuges that accompany you through life. Universal, timeless, and beautiful protections — like the oyster shell that guards its pearl. Like that shell you find on the beach sand that, when you hold it to your ear, whispers the deep truths of life. Because wealth goes beyond money.

What is Shellment?

We are refuge and shell. We are protection of value. We are protection for your family wealth. Shellment is the tokenised management of safe havens. We are a help in managing your resources and lifetime. Having had the skill and fortune to accumulate a small patrimony should give you peace of mind, not stress.

Shellment is the tokenised savings platform that will normalise investing in commercial real estate to protect you from market volatility.

We will bring investment in commercial real estate — until now a refuge reserved for large fortunes — to the general public.

We are like that residential property buying and selling platform, but for buying a fraction of office buildings, commercial premises, and even sports stadiums — imagine if Real Madrid or Barça needed liquidity without losing control of the asset. Imagine being a small owner of your club's stadium and capturing a share of the profits it generates.

Creating value

What will allow us to grow, lead, and endure? Every company born with the ambition of legacy articulates a worldview and answers a few questions: What do we believe in? Why do we exist? What do we promote? Why will we matter beyond the obvious? They all share the same answer:
Shellment is born to protect the wealth of families.

Understanding the human condition, history, and embracing beauty beyond form is in our DNA.

The history of shells as currency is not an exotic curiosity: it is a lesson about what value really means. Shells were money before gold, before silver, even before the word "economy" existed. Money did not emerge as a commercial innovation but as an extension of the symbolic. Beautiful, rare, or hard-to-obtain objects became status signals and, gradually, mediums of exchange.

At first glance, a shell seems an unlikely object to represent wealth. It doesn't shine like gold or weigh like iron. It is light, silent, modest. Yet for thousands of years we trusted them as a legitimate form of money.

Walking together

We will build the new shells, embracing technology and finance. We will work always remembering the difference between progress and prosperity. We will prioritise openness over closedness, sharing what we learn. We will obsess over customer experience, never losing sight of the final goal: to be a company of which our children are proud. To be a company that is a symbol of a better Made in Spain and Made in Europe. The noise of the television brings me to the opening of A Tale of Two Cities:

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, the age of wisdom, and also of foolishness."

Wisdom lies in doing the right thing in the most creative way possible, and the brave thing in the most responsible way.

Let us make real estate savings a mainstream financial product.
Let us revive the culture of the small property owner.
Let us build solid savings.
